Tazón de Lentejas Peruano

Peruvian Lentil Bowl is a staple of home kitchens throughout the country, embodying the warmth and simplicity of everyday meals. It's the kind of dish that finds its place on the table during a weekday lunch or a casual dinner, where conversation flows as easily as the food is shared. Lentils, a humble yet hearty ingredient, are transformed into a comforting bowl that speaks to the heart of Peruvian home cooking.

This dish should taste like a rich, savory embrace — the earthy lentils absorbing the aromatic blend of cumin, softened onions, and tomatoes simmered in oil. The salt is a personal touch, added by instinct rather than measure, while the pepper adds a gentle kick. It's a meal that invites you to savor each spoonful, often enjoyed alongside freshly baked bread or simply on its own.

Ingredients

  • 300 gramoslentejas pardas
  • 1cebolla
  • 2tomates
  • 2 cucharadasaceite
  • 1 cucharaditacomino
  • al gustosal marina fina y pimienta negra
