Pastel de Nueces Peruano

Peruvian Nut Pastry is a beloved treat that graces many home tables across Peru, crafted with a practiced hand that knows the balance of salt and the richness of butter. This pastry isn't reserved for special occasions but is a staple delight, often made without ceremony yet with a comforting familiarity. Passed down through family kitchens, it captures the essence of everyday indulgence, where sharing becomes second nature.

The pastry offers a symphony of textures and flavors, where the crunch of roasted nuts meets the tender crumb of buttery dough. A hint of sweetness from the sugar and the binding warmth of an egg create a harmonious bite. This is a treat meant to be savored slowly, each piece inviting another, embodying the warmth and generosity of a Peruvian home.

Ingredients

  • 250 gramosharina
  • 150 gramosnueces — picadas
  • 100 gramosmantequilla
  • 100 gramosazúcar
  • 1huevo
