Gastra
The clay baker for moussaka or yiouvetsi.
A Greek meal is either a baked Sunday or a souvlaki in pita — spanakopita can open a table, it does not sit under moussaka.
Moussaka is a midday bake with a Greek salad and bread. Souvlaki is pita, tzatziki, tomato, onion. Spanakopita is meze or a light lunch.
The inherited table is a gastra from the oven. The newer table is skewers and a squeeze of lemon.

Moussaka, a village salad, bread, olive oil.
The inherited table comes out of the oven and rests. Salad is raw and loud with oregano. Bread. Wine.
Leave the skewers for the evening walk.
Pita, tzatziki, lemon, the grill still going.
The newer table is a handful of skewers and a stack of pita. Tomato, onion, tzatziki. Oregano.
No baking dish of moussaka in the middle.
Bake plus salad, or pita plus tzatziki. Do not run both as one main.
Moussaka wants a horiatiki salad — tomato, cucumber, onion, feta, oregano, oil — and bread. Not pita gyros on the same plate.
Souvlaki is the handheld or the taverna plate: meat, pita, tzatziki. Fries if the shop does that. Not a slice of moussaka beside it.
Spanakopita can start a meal or be the meal with a salad. It is not a side of 'spinach pie' under the bake.
